Heikki Leis is an Estonian artist who, after leaving potatoes in a bowl for too long, was inspired to take unbelievably beautiful photographs of molds. These are beet, and two potato moulds.

I SEE A DIFFERENT YOU is a trio of young photographers from Soweto, South Africa, taking pictures to try to show us (the rest of the world) the Africa that they know and love… which is very often not the one we see in the news.
I think it’s amazing that the youth in Africa are doing things like this. I wish them all the best.

Squadron Leader Brian “Sandy” Lane, pictured center, was a fighter pilot in the RAF during WWII. The average age of pilots at the time was 20, and the weariness on his 23 year-old face in this image is so palpable. He died in combat two years later, leaving behind a wife of three years named Eileen Ellison who, interestingly enough, had been a prominent and very successful race car driver before the war.
I have a soft spot for World War era pilots. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry started it all off when I was younger, but also this photograph is just wonderfully powerful.
